ShoreTel Names Gary J. Daichendt to Board of Directors

Ex-Cisco and Nortel Senior Executive Offers Wealth of Expertise to IP Telephony Provider

SUNNYVALE, CA, May 15, 2007 - ShoreTel, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise IP telephony solutions, announced Gary J. Daichendt as the newest member of its board of directors. Daichendt is an industry veteran with extensive executive and board experience in industry-leading companies within the networking and telecommunications market.

Daichendt has more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry. He was the executive vice president of worldwide operations for Cisco Systems, where he was from 1994 until retirement in 2000. He also served briefly as Nortel's president and COO. Daichendt is active in technology investments and serves as a member of the board of directors of NCR Corporation, a provider of self-service technology and services. Mr. Daichendt holds a B.A. in mathematics from Youngstown State University and a M.S. in mathematics from Ohio State University.
